Industrial Dearness Allowance(IDA) rates are
based on All India Consumer Price Index (IW) average for the specified months,
and All India Consumer Price Index [Industrial Workers(IW)] for the month of September &
October 2013 has increased and stood at 241.
The increase in Consumer Price Index of September and
October 2013 is to be included for the IDA rates of JANUARY
2014, based on average of Consumer Price Index [Industrial Workers(IW)],
Industrial Dearness Allowance(IDA) of BSNL Employees is to be increased
by 4.5% or more from January 2014.
Even if there is no increase in CPI for the month of November 2013, the IDA with effect from 01.01.2014 will be raised by 4.5%. If 1 point increase taken place, will lead to 4.7% rise and 2 point increase will lead to 5% rise for January IDA rates, or if there is any drop by 1 point will result in 4.2% increase only from present Industrial Dearness Allowance(IDA) rates @ 85.5% from 01.10.2013.
